Meet  Shawna Metoyer

Shawna is a Mixed Media Artist and Paper Crafter from Cleveland, Ohio. She has been a creative her entire life and loves everything from orchestral music and scrapbooking to jewelry making and art journaling. But, she has found a true passion in gel printing.

 

Shawna believes that art is for everyone and creativity can be found everywhere and this is the philosophy that most informs her work. On any given day you can find her playing with all manner of trinkets (or even trash!) as she draws inspiration from the artistic possibilities that can be found in common, ordinary items. Shawna loves to use gel printed papers and prints to create three dimensional paper crafts such as journals, boxes and bags.

 

Shawna holds a law degree from UCLA and she uses her legal training to help other artists learn the basics of intellectual property law. She lives and works in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband and two sons.
