Cutting Room - K for Keys

I am doing the Gelli Arts ABC Printing Challenge on Instagram and on Day 11 the prompt was "Keys." My submission on Instagram was a print I made of my keyboard. But, I also made the one above using a keyboard print to do an image transfer. I then painted the "keys" with some vibrant watercolors in a rainbow motif. This is a great technique for adding watery mediums to the gel plate. All you do is add a layer of matte gel medium over your image transfer and let it dry. They you have a more amenable surface for painting. I got this photo from Unsplash.

I decided I liked the computer keyboard print better so this one ended up on the cutting room floor. Enjoy :)
